Cunha was the standout performer, earning an 8.4 rating after two goals, three shots on target, two key passes and three tackles. His night ended with a yellow card in the 87th minute and a red card in the 90th. The match had seven yellow-card events in total.

The provisional table impact

United rose from three points before the match to six and are provisionally ninth in the league phase. Roma remained on four points and are provisionally 17th. United therefore hold a two-point advantage over Roma, reversing the one-point gap that separated them before kick-off.
